Social networks have created a new lifestyle. However, their origins go back further than we might first think. It all began in 1971 when the first email was sent. Later, in the 1990s, the World Wide Web arrived. From there many platforms were born.

Messenger was first out of the starting blocks for online communication as we know it today. Facebook represented a revolution, and with this platform we began to have an online social life. LinkedIn, Twitter, Spotify, YouTube, Instagram and WhatsApp are other names that play a part in the history of social networks.

They have given rise to services that are already essential in our day-to-day lives, from digital lists of friends to instant messaging, via live videos. The reality is that each of these platforms has changed the way in which we communicate, get information and even give opinions on different events.
