Rosa Mesquita: a Brazilian story about micro credits
Hear the story of Rosa Gomes da Silva Mesquita, an entrepreneur from Amarante, who devotes her life to the children of her city who lack the means of access to education.
Rosa Mesquita, the directress and owner of the school Lírio dos Vales, each day struggles to raise many children on the threshold of poverty and whose parents do not have the possibility of paying for them to be educated. This entrepreneur began working as a teacher with children of the church, but some years later, in 1995, she decided to open her own school with the help of a microcredit from Banco Santander.
Thanks to Rosa Mesquita and her involvement in the project, more than 90 children from Amarante (Brazil) are receiving a better education and with it, the possibility of a promising future.
