10 football stadiums with a true flavour of the Champions League
Thousands of people show their passion every year, suffering, shouting and enjoying themselves together. Thousands of spectators flock to the Champions League stadiums for the deepest emotions. Places where you can breathe the centuries-old history of football, grounds (some of them) with more than a hundred years of life.
This season’s final will be played on 26 May, 2018 in Kiev (Ukraine), at the NSK Olimpiyskyi stadium, where 16 European teams are still within reach of victory. But until that day arrives, the competition will be held in places of such emotional charge as Santiago Bernabéu, Camp Nou, Old Trafford or Anfield Road, stages of some of the most intense moments of the competition.
Then the big day will come: around 400 million spectators will watch the final of the Champions League on television. This makes the Champions the biggest show on Earth, ahead of the American Superbowl. No annual competition pulls in as many people as the tournament sponsored by Banco Santander.
